o Beginning Friday, September 29 from 6 - 9PM, Doug will discuss the processes for image transfer and show slides of his work while guests enjoy snacks and beverages. o On Saturday, September 30 from 10 - 5PM, Doug will conduct a hands-on workshop for workshop participants. Participants will transfer their images to clay pieces that will be fired overnight. o On Sunday, October 1 from 10 - 1PM or so, Doug will review the fired work completed during the workshop. Cost for the workshop is $175 and includes Saturday's lunch. Participants who currently work in clay can bring a few bisque pieces for image transfer. These pieces must be able to glaze fire to cone 6. They can be thrown, slab or even coil works. Participants can also use flat bisque tiles that will be available for image transfer. Particpants that register prior to September 10 can bring images to Mud Bucket Pottery for use in the workshop. They can also be emailed to johnniej@mudbucketpottery.com. They will be manipulated into high contrast black & white images suitable for the workshop. Time will not allow image manipulation during the workshop so personalized images must be prepared prior to the workshop. We will also have stock images available for use. Doug will also be demonstrating his unique techniques for making impressions in clay using things like glue guns, string, stamps and many other common items. Regardless of your experience level, you will come away with finished work and an understanding of a new and refreshing technique in clay surface decoration. This is an exciting opportunity for the beginning or advanced potter to work with a nationally-exhibited artist.. For more information, call Mud Bucket Pottery, 843-399-8702 ![]() |
